This has to be the story of the year.
Last night, the very respected Grammys announced their list of nominees for the 2013 edition.. and this wasn’t without a few surprises.

It was just yesterday (or so it feels) that Skrillex took home 3 Grammys but it is now far behind as controversy is starting.. the world wants to know who Al Walser is?

Let’s start from the beginning with the list of nominees for Best Dance Recording as announced last night.

Best Dance Recording:

Levels – Avicii
Let’s Go – Calvin Harris Featuring Ne-yo
Bangarang – Skrillex Featuring Sirah
Don’t You Worry Child – Swedish House Mafia Featuring John Martin
I Can’t Live Without You – Al Walser

The first four are the usual suspects, nothing surprising so far. Now you might wonder (like everybody else), “I Can’t Live Without You” .. hmm what song is that?
Well, check it out for yourself.

Does that fit the usual Grammys standard? Yes? No? Am I hating?

Now, by doing some research you will learn that, Al Walser has a Facebook page (he took it down) with 1100 likes and a Twitter account that gathered 568 followers – his latest tweet is dated from November 30th.

His YouTube hit (the one that got him nominated) is currently at 15k views (that sure will change, ah!).

But it gets better.. Al Walser is a Grammy Voting and Nominating Member as written in his YouTube bio.
This very same YouTube channel that racked a total of 123,909 views .. even our YouTube channel‘s got more views.. #ShamelessPlug

On top of that, the man originally from Lichtenstein, is the best-selling author of “Make It Big,” The Secret Path to Break In Today’s Music Industry.. theeeere we go!
Peep the commercial.

So yeah, this is weird.
Now, you might be mad or look the Grammys crazy (and you’re right for that).. but I need to say: Chapeau l’artiste! We like lulz ’round here and you sure deserves the Troll of the year Award!

Stay tuned.. we’ll find out the truth soon enough.

Before I get outta here and order his book, let’s not forget that Steve Aoki, Kaskade and Deadmau5 also got nominated.

Best Dance/Electronica Album

Wonderland – Steve Aoki
Don’t Think – The Chemical Brothers
>Album Title Goes Here< - Deadmau5
Fire & Ice - Kaskade
Bangarang - Skrillex

+LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It” is nominated Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
